Turnip sabzi Sindhi style
- Turnip 3 pieces (350 gms), chopped to small chunks
- 2 big onion
- 3 big tomatoes
- 1 green chilly
- 6 - 8 cloves of garlic
- small piece of ginger
- Salt
- Dhaniya powder
- Turmeric powder
- Pinch of Jaggery
- Amchur powder / mango powder
Method:
- Take some oil in a cooker and warm it. Add chopped onions
and cook till dark brown in color
- Grind tomatoes, ginger , garlic and chilly in a grinder to
a smooth puree
- Add the puree to the brown onions. Put salt, turmeric,
coriander powder and cook and give 2 - 3 whistles. Once done open the cooker and
mash the gravy with a masher.
- Peel and chop turnip
to medium pieces. Add to the above mixture. Again add salt, turmeric, coriander
powder as per the quantity of the turnip.
- Can add some amchur powder
and jaggery powder to a get the perfect sweet sour flavour. Cook the entire thing in a
cooker for 2 to 3 whistles.
- Garnish with some coriander

- Serve with either khichdi or roti withđź’™
